During the Covid 19 lockdown and with no human contact, I explored the concepts of the metaphysical personality. Being unable to work with people allowed interesting and unexplored notions of human history, personality and presence to develop. Absent Subjects explores through the use of silhouette and shadow these ideas. Moribund; absent in life these subjects take on lives revived, via a syncopation of moving light and sound. Pushing what could be shot within the home environment this piece merges stop motion photography and CGI techniques.
