Chameleon Series
Soundtracks for Universal Everything Artworks
In the Venice film, my approach to sound focused on achieving a super-realistic Foley technique. In contrast, for the East London films, I leaned more towards integrating music that was filtered through a character's perspective, drawing from his surroundings in parallel with his visual appearance.
This series sees Universal Everything inspired by advancements in digital scanning, AI, and augmented and virtual reality. Chameleon is a site-specific figurative artwork that invites audiences to immerse themselves in unique real-world environments.
Commissioned first by the Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Venice, Chameleon transforms according to the environment it inhabits. The walking figure absorbs the materials, textures, and surfaces of its surroundings, highlighting the often-overlooked aspects of special locations and reflecting the very essence of a place.
