Tetrachromia
Digital Nature with Universal Everything
Tetrachromia is a video series continuing Universal Everythings' exploration into the digital representation of nature.
I created a soundtrack to reflect the artificial nature of the work. All sounds were created synthetically with modular synthesiser and digital reverb. There are no real sounds at all, the bird sounds are based on imagined species.
The series takes its name from the scientific term used to describe the expanded range of colours that exist beyond normal human perception.
These films are inspired by the knowledge that birds can see colours across a broader spectrum, causing apparently green plants to become imbued with vibrant patterns and shades.
